    United Business Bank is looking for a Client Service Officer I (Branch Service/Branch Operations Officer) for our Oakland Office - Retail Bank Management Experience is required.


    POSITION PURPOSE

    The Client Service Officer I (CSO I) is responsible for assisting new and existing clients with establishing deposit products and services including checking accounts, savings accounts, money market accounts, certificates of deposit accounts, online banking services, remote deposit capture and ACH services in a prompt, courteous, efficient and professional manner.

    This includes opening and closing accounts, renewing certificates of deposits, and assisting clients with bookkeeping and account problems. The CSO I is also responsible for Teller functions, including balancing each day's transactions and verifying cash totals.

    The CSO I answers clients' questions regarding the Bank's products and services and performs a variety of account maintenance duties.

    They are responsible for actively cross selling the Bank's products and services, as well as for performing other functions such as signature verification and other clerical duties.

    The CSO I will also back-up the Assistant Client Service Manager, the Client Service Manager or the Branch Manager and cover the branch and personnel in their absence.

    The CSO I performs all duties accurately, timely and efficiently, and according to Bank policies, procedures and regulatory guidelines. They will also perform a variety of other daily tasks as assigned.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
    Assumes responsibility for establishing deposit products and services activities.
    Assumes responsibility for the efficient, effective and accurate performance of New Account functions.
    Assumes responsibility for the efficient, effective and accurate performance of Teller functions.
    Assumes responsibility for the efficient, effective and accurate performance of other Operations Functions.
    Assumes Responsibility for following all bank policies and procedures and regulatory guidelines, and for attending all required training.
    Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective coordination and working relationships with clients, other staff, and executive management.
    Assumes responsibility for other related duties as required or assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Education/Certification:
    Some college or equivalent training. Bachelor's Degree in business or related field preferred.

    Required Knowledge:
    Knowledge of banking and deposit operations and procedures, as well as general office systems and procedures.

    Experience Required:
    Minimum of 3 to 5 years' related experience in the financial services industry.

    Skills/Abilities:
    Good communication skills.
    Professional appearance, dress and attitude.
    Strong computer skills.
    Good math skills.
    Ability to use Microsoft Office software package.

    Ability to operate related computer hardware and other business equipment including adding machine, typewriter, copy machine, telephone, encoder and paper shredder.


    Hiring Hourly Range:
    $24.00 to $26.00.
