Production Lead Fabrication

The Production Lead - Fabrication, under the direction of the Production Supervisor,assists in the management and overall flow of the Production Floor. Ensureadequate levels of materials are available for assembly.

Key Tasks

Read and follow work order specifications via Electronic Distribution of Orders (EDO) & order hard copies to ensure quality parts in a timely fashion
Print, review and resolve issues with Late Order Report.
Provide general direction to employees on production floor.
Help out on production floor when needed.
Assist Production Supervisor on product issues.
Assist in training employees.
Assist Production Supervisor with the selection and interviewing of new team members.
Provide feedback to Production Supervisor regarding employee performance.
Work with Customer Service Representatives and Materials Group to resolve issues.
Ensure safe working environment by complying with all safety and work rules and regulations.
Report unsafe conditions and/or acts; complete injury reports; and work with safety team to rectify and correct potential safety hazards.
Manage production floor in absence of Production Supervisor.
Follow and comply with all safety, work rules, regulations, ISO procedures, lean Initiatives and lean events.
Special projects as assigned.
Complete and maintain required paperwork, records, documents, etc.
Maintain confidentiality regarding personnel discussions, discipline, etc.
Maintain departmentalhousekeeping standards

Your Background

High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 2 years of relevant manufacturing experience.
Proven in-depth product knowledge.
Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide and metric conversions).
Ability to read a tape measure.
Ability to read, understand, and communicate manufacturing instructions in English.
Must be familiar with portable power tools such as a drill, band saw, and grinder.
Good oral and written communication skills in order to interact with employees and management.
Must have problem solving skills.
Must be able to maintain confidential information.
Must have intermediate computer knowledge andability to navigate the internet to access company portals
Proficientpersonal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, excel, wordprocessing, spreadsheet, etc.
