SUMMARY

The Service Technician is responsible for repairing and maintaining vehicles within Aftermarket function. This role will guide associate level Service Technicians to further their knowledge and abilities. Assist the senior level and lead level Service Technicians on more complex repairs to develop their skills, as well as demonstrate their abilities without needing close supervision.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.

Repair vehicles and various equipment in an accurate and timely manner.
Understand the electrical and hydraulic schematics to be able to complete the repairs correctly and safely.
Assist other technicians with maintenance and ensure to comply by safety regulations.
Leverage advanced technicians to further understanding of proper maintenance practices, safely procedures, and efficiency of work.
Support team members in troubleshooting different vehicles and various equipment and determining the resolution.
Actively seeking ways to retain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma or its equivalent.
Two (2) or more years of experience in the field or in a related area.
Prior experience in automotive or heavy-duty equipment.
Valid Driver's License.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair, and service vehicles and other equipment.
Detail oriented.
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment.
Verbal and written communication skills.
Proven experience repairing and servicing equipment.
Understanding and incorporating safety regulations within the work environment.
Experience using hand tools and power tools.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Physical Demands: Always Visual, Standing, Reaching, Fine Dexterity, Manual Dexterity; Upper Extremity Repetitive Motion, Lifting/Carrying up to 50lbs; Frequent Walking/Running, Climbing; Occasional Hearing, Talking, Bending/Kneeling, Pushing/Pulling up to 40lbs; Seldom Sitting, Driving, Typing.
Non-Physical Demands: Always Math/Mental Computation, Reading; Frequent Analysis/Reasoning, Communication/Interpretation; Seldom Writing.
Environmental Demands: Always Task Changes, Dust, Temperature Extremes; Frequent Work Alone, Loud Noises, Toxic Substances (i.e., solvents, pesticides, etc.); Seldom Tedious/Exacting Work, High Volume Public Contact, Physical Danger.
Work Schedule: Considerable irregularity of hours due to frequent overtime, weekend or shift rotation.
Demands/Deadlines: Occasional stress due to deadlines or workload because of intermittent or cyclical work pressures, or occasional exposure to distressed individuals within the immediate work environment.
