Rated as a top university, we are looking for motivated, people driven individuals who are trailblazers in their career.Working as the Food Safety and Quality Assurance Manager, you will be directly responsibility for the overall operational safety in a college dining account and will be held accountable for the overall safety behaviors of the account.
The manager operates the department in accordance with the approved safety standards, while providing the university with a safety first facility, maintaining excellent relationships with employees, guests and university as well as other departments within the operation.
Food safety and workplace safety education will be provided throughout internal inspections so foodservice workers can understand the 'whys' and help to build transferrable skills relative to safety culture that will help all adapt to the high standard that is set within Chartwells.
Key ResponsibilitiesPerform unit level surveillance safety audits for multiple areasIdentify deficiencies and implement new strategiesProvide written feedback to unit managers regarding unit observations and findings during unit surveillanceAttend meetings, workshops and special events for safety issuesLead and provide readiness for Health Division Food Service Inspections, 3rd party Food Safety AuditsAttend safety management team meetings and perform Safety TrainingManages Food Allergen ComplianceDevelop and deliver on-going maintenance of the Food Safety PlansAssist unit managers with implementation of Compass safety Standards and SolutionsLead QA Training with associates, and one-on-one with management involvementProvide verification that the safety systems are working dailyServe as flexible safety specialists as first responders Preferred QualificationB.S.
