Description

The Tech Writer I shall provide program support services for the Strategic Communications Department, Global Communications Directorate at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC), Bethesda, Maryland.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Serves as marketing photographer and assistant graphic designer.
Produces professional level photography for Patient Education Brochures, Training manuals, Ad campaign, Guide, Annual Report, Photo Displays, etc.
Performs video documentation determining what scenes are necessary to establish the main facts, represent the event, and place it in proper context as requested.
Maintains cataloging of photographs taken for the department labeling folders as directed for other staff members to easily locate desired photographs.
Ensures proper safety and respect for the patient, staff and propriety and privacy of the healthcare environment at all times while taking photographs.
Travel to Regional MTFs for Photography may be required.
Brings camera to events even if event is being covered by other departments. Carries Camera at all times to capture impromptu, candid photos of staff, patients in waiting areas, children, etc.
Assists Senior Graphic designers with basic posters, signs, brochures, updates, etc. in Publisher and/or InDesign.
Assist staff with production (lamination, copying,. collating, etc.) as needed.
Assists with distribution, deliveries, pickup, setup, etc., marketing products, communication tools, copies, etc.
Provide an average of 4,000 support actions annually, completing 16 actions per day. Estimated time to complete two actions is one hour.

Qualifications:

Education, experience or a combination of both performing photographic duties similar to those described above.
Must have demonstrated Professional Photoshop specialist and Photo correction experience.
Practices graphic programs in downtime to improve speed and quality.

Pay:
$60, $70,000.00 per year
