Join an expanding global chemical leader, as the Chemical Engineer supporting multiple chemical plant operations. Provide technical expertise for continuous improvements and optimization to the production units. Client offers competitive salary, bonus, benefits, and relocation package to beautiful coastal area in Eastern NC.
QUALIFICATIONS:
--- BS Chemical Engineering degree with 4+ years experience as process/ production engineer in a large, continuous chemical plant operation.
--- US Citizenship or Permanent Residency (green card) is required.
--- Knowledgeable in chemical unit operations.
--- Strong ability to communicate and direct activities of operators and maintenance.
--- Viewed as a leader and resource in the plant.
--- Experience in monitoring costs (operating costs and turnaround costs.)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
--- Responsible for process improvements and optimization of the plant chemical operations.
--- Identify and implement cost savings projects.
--- Assist with safety and environmental improvement projects.
--- Track and provide recommendations to ensure that production tonnage meets or exceeds plan.
--- Provide material balance forecasting and assistance with cost forecasting.
--- Provide root cause analysis leadership and involvement in work management process.
--- Identify, request and apply capital funds for improvement and sustaining projects.
--- Manage contract operations activities and spending for cost effectiveness.
--- Participate in crew meetings on a monthly basis to improve safety and environmental awareness.
