- Responsible for leading a team of Cloud Security engineering team in the development and maintenance of the cloud security.
- Execute cloud security standard methodologies, ensuring data privacy and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Make recommendations on integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure required to implement a complete solution.
- Provide strong leadership to drive the development of security specifications that can be leveraged across the enterprise to cloud security based on Synopsys Product & Platform design.
- Collaborate closely with other engineering teams, product managers, and business partners to understand their requirements and provide secure cloud solutions to meet the requirements.
- Participate in product requirement and technical design discussions to influence requirements and designs and to mentor other engineers.
- Identify organization priorities, technical objectives, and design strategies encompassing the entire Synopsys ecosystem to deliver business value and resolve blockers.
- Experience with structured enterprise practices, hybrid cloud deployments, and on-premises-to-cloud migration deployments and roadmaps.
- Align with security architecture process that enables the enterprise to develop and implement security solutions and capabilities that are clearly aligned with business, technology and threat drivers.
- Review security technologies, tools and services, and makes recommendations to the broader security team for their use, based on security, financial and operational metrics.
- Develop all approaches and go-forward plans in collaboration with business stakeholders, initiative partners - across business divisions and functions.
- Conduct security design with focus on planning, deploying, and supporting cloud management platform improvements including self-services, orchestration, automation, reporting, and integration.
- Deliver foundational and strategic security engineering solutions and programs to address cloud implementations (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Increase efficiency and usability of security tools through automation and integration.
- Build an advisory relationship and engage with Engineering, Operations, Chief Information Security Office, Legal, Audit, Core Engineering, Product Development, and Chief Information Officer (CIO).
- University degree or equivalent certified education and experience
- 10+ years of experience managing cloud security engineering and devsecops teams
- 10+ years of experience providing Cloud security solutions engineering responsibilities in an enterprise international organization.
- Comprehensive knowledge with Azure, GCP and AWS cloud providers and their capabilities.
- Experience in cloud computing (e.g., applications security, infrastructure security, storage security, platforms security and data security)
- Experience in software engineering with exposure to cloud, with a deep understanding of SaaS architecture and tooling.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of leading hard-working engineering teams and successful track record of building and managing an exceptional security engineering team.
- Experience in cloud migration and transformation projects, including infrastructure-as-code (IaC) and infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) principles.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with multi-functional teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Ability to draft project plans for security service and technology deployments and coordinate with stakeholders across the organization.
- Ability to manage capital and operating budgets, interact with vendors and negotiate pricing and service.
- Ability to deliver results, work cross-functionally, engage/influence audiences and identify expansion engagements.
- Familiarity with the following industry frameworks & regulatory standards: Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS), HIPAA-HITECH, Sarbanes-Oxley, General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Privacy Practices, ISO 27001/2, NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF/800.53), FedRamp, StteRamp, IEC 62443
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, CRISC preferred.
- Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect) are a plus.

The Synopsys Cybersecurity Architecture and Engineering team is growing and seeking a Senior Director, Cloud Security Engineering to head our Cloud Security and DevSecOps Programs. This critical role will be responsible for leading key areas across the Cloud Security, Product Security and Application Security stack.
