    Litigation Paralegal (3 years) - Immediate Need in Los Angeles

    Prominent civil litigation defense firm is seeking an outstanding Litigation Paralegal to join the firm's expanding team Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years' experience in a litigation support capacity, demonstrating a strong grasp of the litigation process in California. Proficiency in Employment law Class Action matters is preferred. Familiarity with e-discovery platforms is a plus.     In the role of Paralegal, you will operate both independently and collaboratively, developing relationships within a team-oriented setting. This pivotal position involves direct collaboration with senior attorneys to meticulously prepare for impending cases and engage in comprehensive fact-finding initiatives. The ideal candidate is characterized by their organizational prowess, unwavering professionalism, and steadfast dedication to fulfilling clients' requirements.

    Essential duties and responsibilities will include:

    • Conduct legal research
    • Update and maintain internal databases
    • Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices
    • Aid attorneys with interrogatories and other discovery requests
    • Gather relevant information from a variety of sources
    • Liaise between trial team and internal/external third parties
    • Help with voir dire, jury selection and witness preparation
    • Subpoena medical, billing, and radiology records, employment records, workers compensation records, and other entities
    • Prepare comprehensive medical chronologies andHowellanalysis
    • Summarize written discovery and document productions
    • Conduct background checks, social media investigations, litigation history

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree or ABA Paralegal Certificate preferred
    • Minimum of three years of recent litigation paralegal experience – employment and/or wage and hour class action/PAGA experience highly preferred
    • Knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documents, court rules and procedures, practices, etc.
    • Strong writing and communication skills and attention to detail
    • Solid computer and database expertise
    • Professional appearance and professional communication with clients and co-workers
