Amir Defense Group, PC is a boutique law firm specializing in the defense of major domestic and international auto companies (Porsche, Rolls-Royce, BMW) in lawsuits involving claims under the Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act, as well as fraud, breach of warranty, violations of the Consumer Legal Remedies Act and other statutes.

The firm represents major vehicle brands in state and federal court, as well as in alternative dispute settings such as arbitration and mediation.

The work environment at the firm is very relaxed and team-oriented. Attorneys and support staff alike are encouraged to share their thoughts and to be themselves.

However, everyone is expected to be professional where it counts, and exceptional work product and attention to detail are paramount.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and respond to discovery requests including interrogatories and notices for inspections;
• Prepare shell pleadings, declarations, motions and other documents and serve them on opposing counsel, and file them with the courts;
• Maintain pleadings and discovery indexes;
• Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices;
• Gather relevant information from a variety of sources;
• Respond to communications from clients, opposing counsel, and other attorneys and parties involved in the lawsuits; and
• Conduct legal research.

Required Attributes:

• ABA Paralegal certification;
• Attention to detail is critical;
• Tech savvy with solid knowledge of cloud storage, making and editing PDFs, setting up video conference calls, changing settings in Windows, etc.
• Expertise in California and Federal rules of court;
• Proven working experience as a litigation paralegal, especially with discovery and trial;
• Experience with preparing trial binders and all aspects of trial, from start to finish;
• Applicable knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, litigation documentation, court rules and procedures, practices etc.;
• Highly organized with ability to juggle multiple deadlines in a fastpaced environment; and
• Strong writing and communication skills along with attention to detail.

Preferred Attributes:

• Experience with California Lemon law litigation/discovery; and
• Legal writing ability.

Pay:
$65, $85,000.00 per year
