- Manage projects in the solid waste management sector, as well as lead proposal efforts and maintain/develop client relationships;
- Participate in and build Geosyntecs brand recognition in the waste market in Texas and adjoining states;
- Demonstrate thorough understanding of federal and state regulations for solid waste facility permitting, design, and construction;
- Oversee and provide technical guidance for civil design, landfill and transfer station design, landfill gas system design, and stormwater design;
- Develop geotechnical site characterization plans and oversee related fieldwork;
- Prepare engineering reports, design calculations, drawings, technical specifications, and permit applications; and
- Direct fieldwork associated with design investigations and construction services.
- Training: This position requires OSHA health and safety, first aid, and CPR training and medical monitoring, paid for by the firm. We also offer professional development opportunities including in-house seminars, webinars, and mentoring, that allow our professionals to build the technical and business skills necessary to become successful consultants

- Bachelors degree in civil or geotechnical engineering. (required)
- Advanced degree in civil or geotechnical engineering. (preferred)
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) registration in Texas. (preferred)
- At least 5 years (7+ years preferred) of progressive experience in the consulting industry, focused in Texas and/or adjoining states; or equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)
- Demonstrated business development and project management experience. (required)
- Strong oral and technical writing skills. (required)
- Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments, meeting strict deadlines, and traveling to client facilities as needed. (required)
- NCEES Record for PE comity. (preferred)
- Valid U.S. drivers license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
