HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER
The job:
Frontwave Arena is seeking a Human Resources Manager for our 7,500 capacity indoor entertainment and sports arena responsible for overseeing all aspects of the HR department, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits, and compliance with labor laws. You will report to and collaborate with the Chief Financial Officer to develop and implement HR strategies and policies, and ensure that employees have a positive and productive work environment. This role requires strong leadership and decision-making skills, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

What you will do:
Assist with the pre-employment process and help facilitate onboarding through payroll provider for new hires.
Maintain strict confidentiality regarding sensitive employee information, company policies, and internal discussions, adhering to legal and ethical standards at all times.
Manage bi-weekly payroll processing through online payroll provider.
Assist with updating HR handbook.
Provide performance management guidance including coaching, counseling, and providing guidance on employee development, developmental plans, and promotions, as well as interpreting and implementing company policies.
Recommend final resolutions when involuntary terminations must occur in adherence to company best practices and guidelines.
Formulate strategies to improve work relationships, boost morale, and enhance productivity and retention, working closely with employees.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legal requirements related to employee management to minimize legal risks and ensure regulatory compliance.
Document, manage, and resolve complex employee relations issues, ensuring timely notification to leadership on all personnel issues.
Conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations, providing final recommendations to leadership for resolutions where necessary.
Review all employee complaints and investigations, ensuring thorough documentation and adherence to HR department processes and procedures.
Provide support to employees with employment-related questions or concerns as needed.
Provide regular and timely updates and reporting to leadership on all HR issues, employee relations investigations, resignations, and terminations.
Perform any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
5+ years of experience in HR management, including recruitment, employee relations, and performance management.
Knowledge of labor laws and regulations.
Familiarity with employee benefits and compliance including health insurance, dental insurance, vision, and 401K administration.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficiency in HR software and systems including Gusto payroll processing.
Certification in Human Resources (e.g. PHR, SPHR) is a plus.
Salary Range: Base compensation ranging from $80,000 to $100,000.
