    Payroll Administrator - Las Vegas, United States - Tao Group Hospitality

    Description
    The Payroll Administrator is responsible for ensuring payroll data is input into the Company's HRIS system correctly. This position will work closely with HR and Accounting teams. The position will also be responsible for research and resolution of all payroll discrepancies.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:


    • Process payroll entries within the Company's HRIS system. Responsible for processing EIB uploads
    • Input and verify supplemental and one-time payment details
    • Calculate and provide data so that the Company's HRIS system can accurately calculate retroactive adjustments required for all non-exempt employees
    • Audit electronic timecards to ensure all hours are submitted and processed within the correct pay period
    • Ensure all hours have been approved by the department management and resolve all exceptions based on documented payroll processing guidelines
    • Input payroll related adjustments and updates into the Company's HRIS system
    • Review venue payrolls each week to ensure all relevant information is included before sending payroll information to venues for final approval.
    • Process manual checks for missing hours
    • Review and ensure manual check entries are accurate.
    • Responsible for training new employees on payroll policies, systems and department guidelines as they relate to daily processing procedures.
    • Assist in the handling of employee payroll related inquiries either written, phone or in person with professionalism, courteousness and a sense of urgency
    • Assist with annual audit preparation including union and non-union audits; W-2 processing and all year end
    • Assist and/ or completes additional tasks as assign

    EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS:

    • High School Diploma required or equivalent
    • Minimum of three to five years' experience in electronic payroll processing with multi-state knowledge
    • Proficient in Windows Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
    • Knowledge and experience with multi-tax jurisdictions
    • Knowledge of all federal, state, and other regulatory agencies laws for payroll-related compliance

    • Must be able to read the computer monitors and print legibly
    • Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time
    • Must be able to move quickly through work and set the pace in the office
    • Must be able to push and lift up to 25 lbs.

    • Office, Casino, Nightclub, Bar, Lounge, and/or Restaurant working environment
    • 5-25% Local Travel (United States)
    • May work extended hours irregular shifts, evening and/or weekend shifts, and holiday work may be required
    • Maintain a professional, neat, and well-groomed appearance adhering to Company standards
    • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
    • Ability to handle a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment
    • Must be effective as part of a team; ability to interact with internal and external customers, managers, and co-workers in a professional, courteous manner
