- Sorts, logs and copies checks received in the daily mail and collected from the post office.
- Counts and verifies cash receipts on a daily basis.
- Prepares bank deposits and deposits them in the bank.
- Maintains files for all cash receipts and reconciles the cash journal to the deposit tickets. Codes the cash receipts and posts to the proper general ledger account in accounting software.
- Maintains and completes daily deposit worksheet, including reconciliation worksheets for billing payment batches that need to be posted or if posting is completed, credit cards and electronic funds transfers, and miscellaneous receipts and grants receivable tracking worksheets.
- Manages cash disbursements and maintains petty cash balance by ensuring receipts log is properly filled out and receipts are on hand for all purchases.
- Oversees the petty cash reconciliation for Paterson, Alcott, Sheridan, Facilities and both Pharmacy locations.
- Manages change for cash drawers.
- Assists as needed to process invoices.
- Assists as needed to reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Attends all departmental and organizational meetings as required.
- Maintain adequate office supply inventory for the Sheridan office location.
- Maintain adequate bus token inventory.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Associates Degree in Business with emphasis in Accounting in addition to one year of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with Microsoft Office with an emphasis in Excel.
- Must be detail oriented.
- Experience using Sage Intacct.

Under the direction of the Controller, provides support to and receives direction from the Controller with the maintenance and the reconciliation of cash receipts and disbursements. The position also assists with various reconciliations, cash and general ledger and processes invoices as needed.
