Purpose:

Define, manage, and enhance the dealership image and brand in the market. Lead efforts to better understand, attract, and retain customers. Develop and manage marketing tactics to promote the dealership's products and services through targeted efforts. Attract and retain talent and effectively engage marketing department personnel.


Responsibilities:


  • Leads the development and implementation of the dealership's annual marketing plan
  • Leads the relationship with our digital ad agency and OEM partners related to all marketing efforts
  • Collaborates with dealer leadership for all marketing efforts
  • Coordinates a consistent merchandising and display strategy
  • Develops and implements the dealer brand strategy including the and enhancement of the dealer brand
  • Implements the dealership's marketing strategies by leveraging resources aligned with the dealership's values, mission, and goals
  • Leads the development, communication, and assessment of marketing tactics (e.g. advertising, promotions, events, etc.) that reach targeted prospects
  • Utilizes our customer segments and determines how to pursue those segments through targeted solutions and services required
  • Defines and manages the customer experience process (e.g. customer focus groups, customer satisfaction surveys, etc.)
  • Define and manage advertising budget; develop monthly, quarterly, and annual advertising activities (e.g. TV, radio, newspaper, internet, social media, etc.)
  • Acts as a liaison between the dealership and manufacturers' marketing personnel and leverages manufacturing marketing resources
  • Ensures appropriate marketing and public relations communications for Parts, Service, Sales and Rental departments for a construction equipment dealership
  • Manages recruiting, staffing and employee development activities for employees reporting to this position
  • Responsible for maintaining the company website, updating content to generate leads and promote the dealership brand

Experience, Education, Skills, and Knowledge:


  • 5+ years sales and/or marketing experience
  • Familiar with John Deere and competitive products
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire others
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively oneonone and within a group
  • Proven ability to analyze and interpret internal and external marketing reports
  • Proven ability to be creative and innovative preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in business or marketing or equivalent experience
