SEIU Local 2015 is California's Long Term Care workers organization that will unleash the collective power of long-term care workers, their families, and their communities, harness the power of technology, and build a broad movement to disrupt the unjust status quo to bring lasting transformational change towards a more just society for all.


PURPOSE
This position will provide data management and data analysis support for the Membership Department.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists in coordinating and implementing data driven initiatives, with an emphasis for campaigns; maintains and database to ensure that information is accurate, comprehensive, and secure and that users can receive needed information from the databases:

  • Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to handle multiple sensitive assignments in a timely manner.
  • Ability to determine how a system should work and how changes in conditions, operations, and the environment will affect outcomes and provide solutions accordingly.
  • Ability to analyze data and make sound, logical conclusions.
  • Ability to pay attention to the minute details of a project or task.
  • Responsible in overseeing, supervising, training, and developing staff.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Access, Salesforce, and programming knowledge.
  • Demonstrated capacity to continuously develop knowledge and skills related to the use of rapidly changing technology.
  • Knowledge of labor unions and how local unions operate.
  • Ability to work with both technical staff and field staff.
  • Other tasks and duties as assigned.

Leading with Vision and Purpose

  • As part of leadership team, contribute to organizational vision and manage the department's and local's strategic plans and campaigns
  • Make, execute and evaluate strategic campaign plans and daily, weekly, and monthly work plans for self and with assigned staff, base
  • Debates the key benefits and drawbacks of alternative data entry methods, technologies, and procedures.
  • Develops, implements and communicates access and dissemination policies and practices.
  • Develops cost analyses of various types of data entry training, technology and hiring.
  • Maintain and update data entry documentation, procedures, and training materials.
  • Develop and implement efficient data entry processes and procedures to ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in data entry and recommend improvements to enhance departmental efficiency.

  • Collaborate with other departments, such as IT or Operations, to address any technical issues or system enhancements related to data entry processes.

  • Supervise, train, and coach staff to successfully achieve outcomes; create and execute staff development plans to build skills and competencies.
  • Hold staff accountable to outcomes, up to and including disciplinary measures
  • Build and develop staff teams, including hiring and onboarding; coordinate and lead teams of staff and members in developing, implementing, and evaluating programs and campaigns that drive key strategic outcomes
  • Supervises the operation of data entry operations or departments.
  • Facilitates the adoption of best practices for data entry and relevant technology.
  • Monitor and evaluate team performance, provide constructive feedback, and conduct regular performance reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and data entry standards.
  • Identify and resolve any data quality issues or errors, working closely with the team to implement corrective actions.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork, open communication, and continuous improvement.
