    Job Description

    Carrier Enterprise (CE) is a national distributor of residential and light commercial Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) products, parts and supplies through licensed HVAC/R dealers and contractors. CE operates primarily in the business to business (B2B) environment where its products are sold through licensed HVAC dealers and HVAC contractors. These dealers are independent companies that sell, deliver and service Carrier, Bryant Payne products to residences and businesses in their respective markets. CE offers customers a wide range of HVAC/R product lines, competitive pricing, best in class customer service and valuable, timesaving services that positions CE as an industry leader. With over 100+ locations, in over 20 states, Puerto Rico, the Caribbean, Latin America, Mexico and Canada there is a location to service our customers HVAC/R needs.

    We currently have an exciting opportunity within the Institutional Sales Team for anAccount Manager.

    The Account Manager is the primary customer contact for commercial, institutional, educational and hospitality accounts. This role is responsible for increasing share of wallet on assigned accounts along with business development of new accounts. This role can be based in ROCHESTER, NY OR ALBANY, NY.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Generate sales related to HVAC replacement and retrofit equipment, system upgrade products, aftermarket parts, supplies and accessories in an assigned territory
    • Build and maintain positive relationships withcommercial, institutional, educational, hospitality maintenance purchasing departments and service contractors, helping to develop solutions, closing sales and ensuring repeat business.
    • Analyze the territory and develop, execute, and monitor sales programs
    • Develop and implement account penetration strategies to include regular business reviews for key customers to maximize sales
    • High School diploma or equivalent with three (3) + years' experience. AA/BA Degree preferred.
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Highly functional in a team environment
    • Sales and growth oriented
    • Profit driven. Seeks ways to improve sales and increase margins through consultative selling
    • Ability to present an effective sales presentation, both written and verbal

    Requirements

    Qualifications:
    • Demonstrated performance history in sales and/or new market development.
    • Experience in working with organizational purchasing and maintenance points of contact.
    • Self-motivated, possessing a high energy level and a desire to achieve goals beyond what is required.
    • Strong business/problem solving skills, high sense of urgency and strong communication/interpersonal skills
    • Prior work experience and/or internship experience in sales or marketing is a plus
    • Knowledge of HVAC, Equipment parts and supplies is a plus
    • PC literacy required (Microsoft products)
