    My client, an international Bank is seeking an Accountant to help oversee: Financial Reporting and Control, Management Reporting, Regulatory Reporting, Product Control, Tax, and Treasury & Capital Management.

    Responsibilities:

    • Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting standards, maintaining the integrity of general ledger and balance sheet substantiation.
    • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the investment bank product portfolio and associated systems, facilitating seamless integration into financial reporting procedures.
    • Apply knowledge of US GAAP to assess and advise on new product proposals.
    • Contribute to the development and upkeep of regulatory reporting for relevant institutions, staying updated on new requirements.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in reporting processes to meet organizational standards and streamline reporting timelines.
    • Play a key role in producing general ledgers, including involvement in fixed assets, payroll, staff benefits, and intercompany transactions, and oversee the year-end audit process.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including HR, IT, and procurement to develop and monitor procurement systems.
    • Conduct monthly reconciliation of financial reports, ensuring alignment with head office requirements and conducting analytical reviews of results.
    • Manage reconciliation and control of the staff expense system, including reviewing submissions, processing payments, and ensuring accurate balance sheet disclosures.
    • Assist in preparing reports for executive committees and other stakeholders.
    • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements for reporting classification and disclosure, driving process enhancements as needed.
    • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in responding to the dynamic needs of the environment.

    Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

    • Qualified accountant (CPA preferred) with practical experience.
    • Previous experience in Financial Reporting and Control and/or Product Control, preferably within an Investment Banking environment.
    • Solid understanding of banking products with experience in commodities considered advantageous.
    • Proficiency in key financial systems used within Finance.
    • Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a collaborative team environment.
