    Description

    The Fralin Museum of Art at the University of Virginia is looking for an Exhibition Project Manager to join their team. The Fralin is a top-notch art museum that caters to the UVA and central Virginia communities by showcasing impactful exhibitions and engaging programs.



    Job Description:

    • Participate actively in the museum's DEAI learning group to ensure projects are developed with diversity, equity, accessibility, and inclusion in mind.
    • Maintain master exhibition and tour calendars.
    • Develop detailed exhibition schedules for each project.
    • Prepare exhibition checklists and grant deliverables.
    • Coordinate exhibition project team meetings.
    • Collaborate with various departments on budget forecasts.
    • Liaise with external partners for traveling exhibitions.
    • Assist with fundraising efforts by providing necessary documentation.
    • Manage image permissions for didactics and publications.
    • Develop marketing and web collateral.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree with at least four years of experience.
    • Project Management Institute (PMI) certification preferred.

    Skills and Abilities:

    • Strong communication and organizational skills.
    • Ability to balance multiple projects and meet deadlines.
    • Proficiency in standard computer software systems.
    • Experience in negotiating and formulating policies.
    • Capability to work independently and within a team.
    • Proficiency in budget preparation and financial analysis.

    This role is based in Charlottesville, VA, and involves working on desktop computers with occasional travel for meetings and programs. The position is exempt and offers benefits subject to project need and funding availability.
