Job Title:

Lead AI FacilitatorAs a Lead Artificial Intelligence (AI) Facilitator, you will be an integral part of Purdue's Rosen Center for Advanced Computing (RCAC) team, helping lead RCAC's research support for AI.

You will have the opportunity to be at the forefront of the field by contributing to Purdue's overall AI strategy and helping guide its direction.

This position will provide an opportunity to work on a variety of data science and AI projects.


Rosen Center for Advanced Computing values and support engagement in national computing activities, workshops, conferences, and interest groups and provides ample opportunities to innovate and present research activities at appropriate venues.

What We're Looking For:


  • Education and Experience Needed_
  • Master's degree in engineering, math, physical or life sciences, computer science or related field; PhD preferred
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be accepted
  • Skills Needed:_
  • Familiarity with all aspects of a data science and AI lifecycle and common data science best practices
  • Expertise in AI and deep learning, from traditional deep learning to emerging GenAI models
  • Knowledge of common data science and ML technologies, languages, frameworks, and packages (e.g., Python, SQL, tensorflow/pytorch, pandas)
  • Demonstrated project management and prioritization skills with the ability to plan, organize and prioritize tasks, and complete projects with mínimal supervision
  • Ability to:
- work positively in an inclusive and diverse environment
- work as part of a high performing team in a collaborative environment
- mentor other students

  • Preferred:_
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively mentor other professionals and delegate tasks
  • Good English communication skills, including experience in submitting papers or contributing to grant proposals
