Job Summary:

Review construction plans, inspects construction projects, roadway projects, landscape projects, lake excavations, erosion control and/or air quality in order to ensure compliance with state/local laws, approved construction plans/specifications, legal requirements, and ensure compliance with contract specifications, compliance with applicable local, state and county codes, ordinances, regulations, standards, and specifications.

Essential Functions:

Review construction plans, inspects construction projects, roadway projects, landscape projects, lake excavations, erosion control and/or air quality in order to ensure compliance with state/local laws, approved construction plans/specifications, legal requirements, and ensure compliance with contract specifications, compliance with applicable local, state and county codes, ordinances, regulations, standards, and specifications.
Adheres to safety protocols, employs safety gear, and oversees the work environment to ensure the wellbeing of employees and others. Maintains uptodate knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and standards; stays informed about new construction methods, materials, inspection practices, and professional advancements through literature, affiliations, workshops, and training sessions. Undertakes additional tasks as needed.
Essential Employees may be required to work during an undeclared emergency and/or declared emergency.
On an incidentbyincident basis, the County's Administrative Office will make the determination as to who will be required to work.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required.
Three (3) years of related experience.
Fingerprinting required.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATES:

Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver's License with any applicable endorsement(s) to drive a County vehicle as provided in CMA 5805.

Salary offers above the minimum pay grade may be considered based on qualifications.
Essential Employees may be required to work during an undeclared or declared emergency. The County's Administrative Office will determine who will be required to work on an incidentbyincident basis.
