    Responsibilities

    The Procurement Specialist role involves supporting the sourcing and purchasing of technical goods and services for the organization to meet project and/or capital requirements. This position is pivotal in acquiring equipment, materials, and services essential for the success of large projects. Expertise in project management, technical specifications, and supplier evaluation is necessary to ensure a streamlined supply chain and the effective fulfillment of customer needs. Moreover, this role includes negotiating with suppliers to ensure goods and services are delivered according to agreed terms, aiming to maximize value for the company in terms of time and cost.
    • Work closely with project managers and cross-functional teams to understand specific procurement needs.
    • Manage procurement budgets, track expenses, and provide updates on costs.
    • Develop a deep understanding of technical product specifications and procurement qualification requirements.
    • Maintain organized procurement documentation and generate reports to monitor progress and performance.
    • Source and procure essential equipment, materials, and services to meet project milestones.
    • Optimize inventory usage and utilize contract pricing effectively.
    • Request quotes from suppliers, evaluate responses, and negotiate for the best quality and cost.
    • Manage purchase orders, communicate guidelines, and track delivery schedules.
    • Act as a link between suppliers and internal functions for issue resolution.
    • Negotiate supplier contracts and maintain supplier relationships.
    • Identify and report supplier non-conformances.
    • Utilize material planning reports to review supply requirements and support business demand.
    • Ensure compliance with company processes and guidelines for all transactions.
    Qualifications
    • 2-5+ years of experience in billing, accounting, or purchasing.
    • College/University Degree.
    • Strong verbal communication skills.
    • Knowledge of billing practices and controls.
    • Ability to interpret instructions and work effectively with various stakeholders.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
