As an employee (m/f/d) in purchasing in the area of merchandise management at West Point, IA, you will be responsible for independently managing the complete flow of goods along the product life cycle for one or more selected brands, ensuring optimal supply of goods for all distribution channels (online/offline).


Your main tasks with us include:

  • Your area of responsibility includes the complete product life cycle of your brand(s) from article creation to article sales, including:
  • Preparing and following up on regular preorder dates
  • Checking for correct receipt of goods and distributing them to the corresponding distribution channels
  • Triggering reorders for highperforming items
  • Identifying underperforming items and implementing appropriate measures
  • Obtaining and evaluating special offers
  • Implementing systemic price reductions
  • Instructing transfers and returns
  • You develop decision templates and standardized reports
  • You enter, maintain, update, and archive all article master data in the ERP system
  • You communicate with external suppliers
  • You work together with internal interface partners
  • You actively exchange information with stores regarding service issues in the area of merchandise

These skills and knowledge make you stand out:

  • You have completed a commercial apprenticeship or a comparable qualification with relevant professional experience
  • Ideally, you have professional experience in purchasing, sales, merchandise management, and merchandise flow control
  • Ideally, you have experience in retail (fashion retail)
