Duties:


  • Serves as Administrative Officer for the Army G2X, with responsibility for providing or obtaining a variety of management services essential to the direction and operation of the organization.
  • Areas of responsibility include administrative management, human resources management, records management, resource management, security management, and information management.
  • Carries out the daily administrative activities for the Army G2X, which includes acting as the Army G2X liaison on agency administrative and support operations, maintaining calendars for the Director, Deputy Directors, and the division chiefs.
  • Assists the Deputy Director and Directorate Operations Coordination, tracking, and completing official and unofficial Department of Defense and Department of the Army staff actions.
  • Acts as an assistant to the directorate security manager by completing a full range of assignments, to include the proper use of electronic networks, data bases, and the handling, storing, and transmission of magnetic media.

  • Twoyear trial period may be required.
  • In accordance with Change 3 to AR 60085, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • Position may require to be indoctrinated into Special Access Program(s) (SAP). Accordingly, must be willing to submit to a CI Scope polygraph examination.
  • Must possess and be able to maintain a Top Secret security clearance based on a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) to be considered for the position.
  • Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) may be required up to 5%.

    Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience
    1) utilizing automated systems to perform administrative functions; AND 2) providing executive management support within a high tempo operational/strategic organization. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GG/GS09).

Education: Ph.

D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as:
human resources or business management.

Combination of Education and Experience:A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
