    Agency Description

    The City Treasurer's Office (CTO) is dedicated to managing City funds, processing City payments, and investing surplus funds in line with the City's investment policies. The CTO also plays a pivotal role in enhancing and upholding the City's credit ratings.

    Position Summary:

    As the Assistant Treasurer for Budget and Contracts, you will oversee budget management and contracting functions within the CTO. Responsibilities include managing department expenses, assisting in budget report preparation, overseeing contract processes, procurement needs, and providing support for special projects.

    This role entails close collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project completion.

    Key responsibilities include budget review, performance tracking, purchasing, and managing professional service contracts.

    Additionally, you will provide administrative and operational support, represent CTO in projects, attend cross-departmental meetings, update relevant webpages, and perform other assigned duties.

    Competencies, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Exercise professional judgment in prioritizing projects.
    • Effective communication with stakeholders.
    • Efficient resource utilization.
    • Bachelor's degree in a Business discipline or equivalent experience.
    • 2-4 years of experience in an office setting.
