Position Summary
With minimal supervision, the Operations Manager will proactively manage day-to-day administrative and financial processes of the Luskin Center for Innovation. This includes administering complex financial operations, project budgets and the organizational budget. Serve as liaison to the Luskin School's Business Office. Lead administrative coordination for efforts of the principal investigator(s) in the development of grant and contract proposals, including preparing detailed budgets and justifications. Track and coordinate acceptance of government, foundation, non-profit and corporate funding. Post-award, oversee project managers' tracking of the project budgets. The Operations Manager will communicate with HR Director on personnel issues, complete personnel paperwork for new hires and appointment changes, and keep detailed HR records. In addition, the Operations Manager will serve as executive administrative assistant to the director, including managing the Director's calendar, as well as supporting communications, events and special projects as required. The Operations Manager will handle sensitive information, maintain the confidential integrity of the office and utilize excellent oral communications, analytical, organizational, computer, writing, editing, and public relations skills to perform the varied responsibilities of this position.
