Job DescriptionThe Risk and Controls Specialist will be responsible for reviewing and appraising the soundness, effectiveness and proper application of accounting and financial system controls and timeliness of documentation generation as well as assist in maintaining and improving activities across the organization related to internal controls and compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX).Continuously assess the adequacy and effectiveness of controls over financial reporting, identifying gaps and remediating deficiencies as well as identifying areas of for improvement while working with business partners to streamline control design and documentation.

Provide guidance to control owners and business process owners for proper completion/updating of process mapping, narratives and other controls documentation.

Assist in testing the effectiveness of both SOX and operational controlsProvide formal and informal training and instructions to Solidigm team members to enhance acumen on SOX and overall risk managementAssist in developing and maintaining corporate accounting policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with US GAAPQualificationsThe position requires broad training in fields such as accounting and/or information technology obtained through the completion of a four-year bachelor's degree program, with a preferred concentration in accounting or accounting information systemsCPA or master's degree in accounting preferredNormally requires a minimum of five years of experience in general accounting, public accounting and/or internal auditing, including experience with assessing controls within accounting information systemsSelf-motivated with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment.

Strong understanding of internal controls (financial and system controls), SOX, COSO 2013 and US GAAP.Demonstrated experience in organizing, planning and executing medium to large-scale projects from vision through implementation.

Ability to exercise independent judgment and creative problem-solving techniques in a highly complex environment.

Proven ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; ability to present information professionally and effectively to internal customers, associates and management.

Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to respond appropriately in pressure situations with a calm and steady demeanor.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Computer literate with ability to learn systems and processes quickly.
Experience with SAP (S/4, GRC, Ariba) strongly preferred and, RSA Archer or Alteryx a plus.
Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).

Additional InformationFor California, Colorado, New York, Washington, and remote roles:
The compensation range for this role is $97,250 to $153,290.

Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
