    Description

    PrideStaff Financial on behalf of a client in Fort Lauderdale is looking for an experienced and professional Accounting Manager to join their busy team Are you looking for a career change?     Main Functions:

    • Manage the accounting staff to ensure all the work is completed accurately and within set deadlines.
    • Develops accounting principles, procedures and work ethics in the organization to be followed by all the accounting staff.
    • Ensures the timely and accurate reporting of all financial information, including monthly, quarterly and year-end close.
    • Monitors and analyzes department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
    • Responds to inquiries from company managers regarding financial results, special reporting requests, etc
    • Works with each direct report to establish goals and objectives for each year; monitors and advises on the progress to enhance professional development of staff
    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Finance, Economics or related field
    • 3 years prior supervisory experience in the financial reporting/general ledger area
    • Strong knowledge of specialized functions of accounting and financial management
    • Ability to set priorities and assign work to other professionals.
    • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
    • Excellent verbal, written, and communication skills
    • Excellent analytical skill
    Must be able to submit to a background check and a drug screen
