- Leading a team of engineers responsible for supporting numerous projects-including greenfield, brownfield, and conversion projects-through all project phases, meeting financial objectives and deliverables.

- Implementing strategic activities within the department to achieve objectives of operations and corporate business.
- A bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering (or an equivalent engineering degree with relevant experience).
- At least three years of experience managing people, along with a proven track record of organizational and employee development.
- Demonstrated skill in multidisciplinary coordination and collaboration.
- Knowledge of chemical process engineering principals, process engineering design, and/or facilities engineering within an industrial, semiconductor, chemical, or related industries.
- Strong organization and communication skills, highly responsive.
- Salary Range: $125,000 - $170,000/year depending on location, education, experience, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.

SSOE is looking to hire a Chemical Process Engineering Department Manager to join our team. You will have the opportunity to lead and manage a driven team of 25 chemical process designers / engineers in our Portland, Oregon and Austin, Texas locations. This person will also coordinate with various disciplines within the organization (architectural, electrical, mechanical, structural, etc.) and will be an integral part of problem-solving complex designs for state-of-the-art industrial and high-tech manufacturing facilities for the world's leading high-tech companies.
