    The MITRE Naval Aviation Systems Department's (N233) mission is to advance Naval Aviation solutions with urgency ensuring warfighter dominance against current and future adversaries in defense of our nation. This is accomplished by delivering timely, effective, and sustainable capabilities to ensure the warfighter's mission success and safe return home.

    Job Description:

    The Naval Aviation department is seeking a Systems Security Engineer with a Supply Chain Management background for the Lexington Park, MD area. Candidate will manage the processes, tools, technology, and techniques used to assess global supply chain threats and vulnerabilities. They will evaluate potential impacts on system missions and select mitigations to lessen risks and will be the MITRE liaison to the sponsor on procurement and contracts throughout the entire supply chain life cycle. They will also help to identify potential attack surfaces that could provide opportunities for adversaries to gain access, affect system performance, deny service, or allow data exfiltration.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Systems or similar Engineering/STEM field with 1-2 years of related experience that can include internship time
    • Educational or work experience in Supply Chain Management
    • Familiarity with Systems Security Engineering
    • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Clearance
    • Interest in solving problems across multiple engineering disciplines to provide solutions to complex problems
    • Flexible systems thinker with the ability to quickly deliver results and achieve impactful outcomes
    • Comfortable working collaboratively in a team environment
    • Good communication skills and ability to present technical material to a diverse audience
    • This position requires a minimum of 50% hybrid on-site presence.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • DOD Top Secret Clearance
    • Master's degree in Systems or similar Engineering/STEM field
