    The Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education (BPPE) seeks to fill a Permanent/Full-time Associate Governmental Program Analyst (Compliance Analyst) in the Compliance Unit - Enforcement Division.

    Under the direction of the Compliance Inspection Manager (SSM I), the Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) reviews and inspects Bureau-approved educational institutions for compliance with all provisions of the laws and regulations governing private postsecondary education.

    The incumbent works 40 hours per week in an office setting. A remote-centered flexible schedule may be available for this position. The position is headquarters in Sacramento, CA.
    The incumbent may be required to travel throughout an assigned geographical area by various methods of transportation.

    ASSOCIATE GOVERNMENTAL PROGRAM ANALYST


    The mission of the Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education is to protect students and consumers through the oversight of California's private postsecondary educational institutions by conducting qualitative review of educational programs and operating standards, proactively combating unlicensed activity, impartially resolving student and consumer complaints, and conducting outreach.

    Further, the Bureau is responsible for enforcement of any violations of the California Private Postsecondary Education Act of 2009 through enforcement actions such as a citation and fine and/or disciplinary action not limited to probation, surrender, or revocation of an institutions approval to operate.

    The Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) is a narrative discussion of how your education, training, experience and skills meet the minimum and desirable qualifications and qualify you for the position.

    STATEMENT OF QUALIFICATIONS

    • Describe your experience compiling, interpreting and analyzing statutes, regulation and other pertinent information to reach a conclusion, make recommendations and execute a solution.
    • Describe your report writing experience. Provide specific examples of the types of reports you provided management.
    • Describe your experience in working independently, including how you maintain productivity and accuracy in your work product.
    • Describe your interest in a position working as a field inspector that requires frequent travel throughout California.
