    Description

    Job Listing: Licensed Practical Nurse at Hiram W. Davis Medical Center

    • Knowledge of normal anatomy and physiology, pharmacology, body mechanics, nursing procedures, growth and development, and CPR.
    • Skills in patient assessments, medication administration, tube feedings, wound care, suctioning, tracheotomy care, and catheterizations.
    • Ability to perform nursing care procedures, including turning, bending, and lifting patients without restrictions.
    • Effective oral and written communication skills with flexibility to work overtime.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Active listening and understanding, asking questions, and effective communication.
    • Monitoring performance and making improvements.
    • Logical reasoning to identify solutions and weaknesses.
    • Ability to operate machinery and ensure proper functioning.
    • Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse in Virginia.
    • Evening or night shift availability required.

    Additional Considerations

    • Prior in-patient hospital and behavioral healthcare nursing experience preferred.
