SUMMARY JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Vice President of Finance and Administration enhances long-term stakeholder value through the development, execution, and evaluation of corporate strategy with the CEO.
The
VICE PRESIDENT OF FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATIONshares accountability for the current and long-term financial success of the company with the CEO.
This position is responsible for the oversight of all administrative, finance and accounting, risk management, Human Resources (HR), and Information Technology (IT) operations.
As a key member of the executive team, the
VICE PRESIDENT OF FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATIONprovides timely, accurate, relevant, and independent performance information to the Board of Directors.
The
VICE PRESIDENT OF FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATIONsupports the CEO in all financial and business matters, as well as growth strategy, business systems, human resources, data privacy and security compliance, legal, financial, and operational issues.
The
VICE PRESIDENT OF FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATIONmust have a broad vision and a strong commercial sensibility to identify new strategies and paradigms.

KEY OUTCOMES:
Lead the collaborative effort to manage and mitigate all forms of risk, especially focusing on contractual risks that involve customers in support of dominating our most profitable items in technical glass.
Continuously improve the quality and quantity of information available to the Board, and to employees that is reasonable and appropriate for their position and corresponding needs in support of operational excellence.
In conjunction with the CEO, the ability to generate and execute strategic and tactical plans that are rooted in the realities of the human and financial resources that are available in relation to the planning time frame.
Continuously reevaluate and improve decisions, overall policies, practices, strategy, etc., especially those strategies that materially impact our ability to execute "Innovate Dominate-Exterminate.
Continuously improve our human capital.
Essential Job Functions:
Provide insight and analysis to support the CEO, the Board of Director's, and the Management team; ensuring business decisions are grounded in sound financial criteria.
Assess and advise on financial, operational, and legal risks associated with business initiatives.
Develop financial, operational, and legal risk mitigation strategies.
Provide financial and operating information enabling the company to develop short and long-term strategic plans to grow and improve profitability.
Develop, review, and approve financial models to incorporate into business plans and forecasts.
Intimately understand and effectively influence the operational and financial profit levers that drive the Company's performance.
Lead financial planning and analysis activities including yearly budgeting, reporting, and forecasting.
Continuously improve and maintain an accurate product costing system.
Ensure effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.
Oversight of financial planning & forecasting: liquidity, growth, congruence with strategy.
Identification of commercial, financial and economic risks from business propositions; effectively communicate the financial implications of proposals; firmly establish the profitability of various business propositions as well as risks.
Planning, analysis, and negotiations for labor contract negotiations.
Overall responsibility for product pricing and pricing strategy.
Management of the degree of exposure to liabilities and risks:
Identifying and managing contractual risks, primarily with customers and suppliers, through knowledge of the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC).
Identifying Human Resources/Employment Practices risks o Product Liability, including training employees on best practices to mitigate potential risks.
Tangible asset protection policies (theft, fraudulent activity, etc.)
Intangible asset protection policies (Intellectual property, etc.)

Minimum Qualifications:
BS – Accounting or Finance. MBA, CPA or CMA preferred.
Ten years of experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience in strategic planning and execution.
Experience in contract negotiations.
A strong knowledge of ERP systems and experience with the management of an IT department.
Excellent communication skills – the ability to translate complex issues in a simple, straightforward way.
Able to manage stress and complexity under pressure.
Ability to adapt to change.
Awareness and general understanding of various legal areas, including contract law (UCC), Labor and employment law, OSHA Compliance, Intellectual Property Protection, Workers Compensation, and ERISA Compliance.
