    POSITION SUMMARY

    The Continuous Improvement Specialist will be responsible for supporting and assisting the Continuous Improvement Manager in the organization, planning, implementation and follow-through of continuous improvement initiatives.

    The Continuous Improvement Specialist is an expert in continuous improvement processes who teaches and facilitates implementation of standard operational excellence methods and tools to deliver results in throughput, productivity, cost, and inventory and delivery performance.

    Responsibilities
    Conduct thorough analyses of existing processes to identify areas for improvement.
    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency.
    Implement Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to optimize processes and eliminate waste.
    Utilize statistical methods and data-driven insights to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.
    Develop and maintain performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of implemented changes.
    Lead and facilitate continuous improvement projects to drive positive change throughout the organization.
    Act as a catalyst for change by promoting a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

    Work closely with quality department to ensure that improvements do not compromise product or service quality.
    Implement and monitor quality control measures to sustain improvements over time.
    Provide training and support to employees on continuous improvement methodologies and tools.
    Foster a culture of accountability and ownership among team members for continuous improvement initiatives.
    Maintain comprehensive documentation of processes, changes, and improvements.
    Generate regular reports on the status and impact of continuous improvement initiatives.
    Education and Certifications
    Bachelor's Degree in Operations, Manufacturing, Engineering, or Business Management.
    Minimum of 2 years' experience in manufacturing
    Minimum of 1 years of experience in Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
    Proven experience as a Continuous Improvement Engineer or in a similar role.
    Proficient in data analysis and statistical tools.
    Excellent project management and organizational skills.
    Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
    Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
    Continuous learning mindset and willingness to stay updated on industry best practices.
    Qualifications

    Ability to uses standard office equipment
    Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. periodically
    Ability to stand for long periods of time
    Ability to use both arms and hands
    Ability to bend and stoop frequently

    About the Team


    At Samuel Packaging Systems Group, we are committed to providing our customers with innovative, high quality, cost-effective packaging systems, supplies and solutions.

    Our technical expertise takes customers' packaging and unitizing requirements from the initial concept to advanced CAD engineering through to fabrication, installation and maintenance.

    Our comprehensive in-house research and engineering capabilities, modern manufacturing plants and responsive customer service teams provides customers complete packaging and unitizing solutions.

    The Continuous Improvement Specialist drives lean transformation activities, participates in change, and is a resource for lean improvement techniques. This position provides leadership, guidance, and follow-through to support the completion of departmental sustainment goals and objectives.

    As a Process Engineer you will identify, support, and develop the Fort Mill Polyester strapping manufacturing process by systematically implementing and controlling line process and chemical conditions to ensure best possible production output and quality control of the PET Strapping manufacturing processes.

    This role will also partner with Operations, Quality and Maintenance to develop process training for quality compliance.
    SUMMARY &


    SCOPE:


    The Project Engineer will develop engineered documents that accurately reflect the product needs of the customer as well as any third party organizations.

    The Project Engineer will become involved primarily with products outside the scope of normal customer requirements.

    They will act as a liaison between necessary SPVG departments and personnel to ensure all facets of such projects are coordinated and completed in a timely and accurate manner.

    The Project Engineer will have primary responsibility for the completion of the projects to which they are assigned.
