As a
PC Support Specialist in our
Madison office, you will help us empower our clients to achieve energy-efficient building solutions, save global environments, and create a better, greener future for all.

In his role, you will provide day-to-day training, support and maintenance for designated AEI offices' PC hardware and software. Tests new hardware under guidance and direction of Technology Manager. Maintain office specific inventories and diagrams per firm wide IT standards.

Primary Accountabilities and Responsibilities
The following job functions are typical of the position but are not all encompassing.

Each person is expected to help, to the extent of their abilities, in carrying out whatever work is required to deliver a quality product within budget and on schedule.


  • Responds to helpdesk needs in a timely and professional manner.
  • Supports and maintains designated AEI offices' standard hardware and software. Tests and provides feedback on hardware standards. Collaborates with other IT staff, users, and vendors as necessary to resolve daytoday issues.
  • Maintains documentation for assigned IT inventories and databases.
  • Provides feedback and suggestions for improvements, shares knowledge and lessons learned, and collaborates in troubleshooting problems.
  • May participate in special projects on either a IT team or a crossfunctional team.
  • Provides ongoing oneonone training and instruction to users in the organization. May provide large group training classes, as necessary, on specific hardware and/or software.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Technical or Associate degree in Computer Information Systems, a related technical degree; or commensurate experience.
  • Two years of related IT experience.
  • Proficiency in installing and troubleshooting desktop and laptop hardware, software, and networking components.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft products. Ability to learn and support additional software (i.e., graphics, engineering calculation, database, etc.).

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work well in a team environment, including carrying out appropriate followthrough with others, teaching and delegating work, and giving and receiving constructive feedback. Communicates well with individuals at all levels in the organization.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize to effectively handle multiple tasks and deadline pressures without creating workflow problems for others. Generally, works on multiple projects/activities in a given time period.

Travel Requirements

  • This position requires travel up to 5% of the time.

Physical Requirements

  • Willingness to work to meet deadlines as required by client demands.
  • Working at a computer for several hours at a time.
  • Attending meetings with team members and other consultants both on and offsite.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Performing typical office activities.
