The ideal candidate will have exposure in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

    Bison Innovative Products, a sector of RPM International (NYSE: RPM), is in search of a dedicated Territory Manager with experience and motivation in the Detroit area. The perfect candidate for Bison Sales Representative roles will have a background in construction, architecture, or engineering industries, with specific knowledge of roofing, green roofing, deck construction, and landscape architecture/architecture as a plus. Our sales tactics involve delivering professional training presentations to architects, contractors, designers, and others, so being at ease providing technical information to small groups is crucial.

    Bison has been at the forefront of the industry since 1994 in designing and producing Pedestals and hardwood Deck Tiles that enhance rooftop spaces.     Prospective candidates will have an Unlimited compensation plan with a monthly draw against commissions.

    Compensation package:

    • Draw against (starting at $60k) + Uncapped commission.

    CRUCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Specialize in Bison's product lines and applications while advocating for Bison's products.
    • Act as the main point of contact for all sales, projects, and training activities within your designated territory.
    • Document all leads, quotes, and details in Salesforce and regularly submit written sales reports to the National Sales Manager.
    • Provide assistance to team members as needed to ensure exceptional service for all Bison existing and potential customers.
    • Adhere to Bison's established policies and procedures to meet or surpass goals, targets, and objectives (GTO).
    • Travel extensively within the territory to promote Bison's products and engage with existing and potential customers.
    • Conduct training sessions for architectural and specifier communities, distributors and their key personnel, Bison's sales representatives, qualified contractors, and offer on-the-job consultative training for installing contractors and their teams when needed.
    • Present written and verbal information about competitors' product lines, pricing, and marketing strategies.
    • Represent Bison at conventions and trade shows.
    • Provide insights and recommendations for Bison's marketing and promotional initiatives.
    • Keep tabs on industry trends and customer feedback, and provide input for enhancing Bison's product lines.
    • Follow up on all leads generated through Bison's advertising and promotions, striving to convert leads into sales.
    • Attend all mandatory sales meetings and training sessions as directed by the National Sales Manager.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • At least five (5) years of sales experience.
    • Background in General Construction.
    • Willingness and ability to travel extensively (50%) within the territory weekly.
    • Capable of juggling multiple projects simultaneously and managing continuous disruptions.
    • Experience with formal business communications and formats.

    Successful candidates will be rewarded with:

    • Unlimited compensation plan with a monthly draw of $60,000 annually against uncapped commissions.
