    Job description:

    Bates and Associates, Inc. is an established, family-oriented civil engineering and land surveying company. Currently, we have an immediate opening for a civil site design engineer specializing in land development projects.

    The ideal candidate would have experience with designing and managing projects and staff, as well as be able to plan, and coordinate projects from beginning through completion.

    Projects will primarily involve site design for commercial and residential developments. Candidates must possess both design and project management experience, along with strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with clients and city officials effectively.

    Qualifications:

    Bachelor of Science in Civil or related Engineering Technology Degree

    2+ years of experience working in Civil Engineering. The emphasis of civil engineering experience and knowledge is expected to be in site development, grading, utilities, and drainage design.

    Ability to obtain a Professional engineer license in the State of Arkansas

    Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

    Ability to perform quality reviews of detailed engineering documents and specifications

    Be 100% committed to personal growth, professional image, and company excellence

    Proficient in Carlson Civil software a plus but not required

    Site Design Engineer Responsibilities:

    As a site design engineer, you will represent the company in all regular communications with the client from the initial effort, through the entire course of the project development.

    The engineer is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and controlling project team activities, including but not limited to; reviewing and / or supervising technical aspects of work as well as defining the project scope, budget and schedule.

    The engineer will maintain ongoing client relationships, pursue new professional connections, and seek new project opportunities with new and current clients as well as provide input to the senior project engineer regarding hiring, and promotion of staff.
