Senior Accountant - Direct Hire

We are recruiting for a Senior Accountant to join their dynamic accounting team. Our client offers a very collaborative team-oriented work environment, a lot of flexibility including occasional remote, and ample growth opportunities. Salary range: $85,000-$95,000/year.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of the GAAP lease accounting standard ASC 842.

Primary responsibilities:

Assists with the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP, internal policies and procedures and the established internal schedule.
Prepares monthly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
Analyzes financial statements and reports for discrepancies and other issues.
Prepares regular and ad hoc operational reports, project reports, investment reports and analysis.
Prepares accounts receivable invoicing.
Assists with bank deposits and other treasury functions.
Processes benefits information and transactions and completes year-end reporting.
Tracks and maintains fixed assets and general fixed asset account group
Assists with year-end audits and the annual budget process.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or Accounting is required. Minimum 3-5 years professional experience in Accounting or Finance.
Knowledge of The GAAP lease accounting standard ASC 842.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel including familiarity with vlookups, pivot tables, etc.
Strong experience in month-end closures required.
Experience with financial analysis, forecasting, fixed assets, and data analysis.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
