Job Title:
Behavioral Health Technician

Job Summary:

The primary purpose of this role is to provide supervision for our patients and to ensure their safety while building a rapport with them.

This includes providing assistance to each patient in working with a group and in handling individual problems; responsibility for setting of limits for behavior; creating documentation of the patient's progress; identifying the possible need for professional services and communications of such findings to professional staff.

Actively and consistently contributes to department operations and communications, behaves in a manner consistent with the mission, vision, and values of Pipeline Health, upholding standards of AIDET (Acknowledge, Introduce, Duration, Explanation, Thank you) patient communication.

Experience:

Prior work experience in other behavioral health treatment settings with adolescents a plus.
Experience in clinical setting treating anxiety and OCD (obsessivecompulsive disorder), CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) called "exposure with response prevention," or exposure therapy setting preferred.
Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, strong organizational skills, ability to follow verbal instructions, and PC (computer) skills.
A capacity to learn, synthesize, make critical judgments, work independently, place patients and families first, and collaborate with the team members who are recognized leaders within health care.
