    Job Title: Director of Business Development and Sales for Defense
    Company: BlackSky
    Responsibilities:
    • Identify, generate, and qualify new business opportunities with a focus on defense customers.
    • Develop strategic plans to drive new business growth and achieve sales goals.
    • Build and maintain customer and partner relationships.
    • Create strategies to shape customer requirements and acquisition plans.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to develop responses for various requests and presentations.
    • Contribute to the company's work ethic, culture, and values.
    • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
    Required Qualifications:
    • Bachelors Degree in a relevant field.
    • Active Secret or Top Secret clearance.
    • Minimum five years of experience in defense agencies.
    • Minimum five years of experience in remote sensing, Earth science, and/or GEOINT.
    • Minimum five years of business development experience.
    • Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Masters Degree in engineering/technology field or MBA.
    • Military or federal civilian experience with Space qualifications.
    • Experience in remote sensing and earth observation industries.
    • Knowledge of Government-wide Acquisition Contracts (GWACs) and/or Multi-Agency Contracts (MACs).
