- Execute long-range planning that impacts the engagement, performance, development and retention of our workforce and contribute toward TPT's goals. Collaborate with leaders and teams to build and execute people programs and processes that support organizational and team goals.
- Provide leadership and support in a variety of HR-related areas including, but not limited to organizational design, conflict and problem resolution, performance management, coaching support and tools, team effectiveness, retention strategies, policy interpretation, recruitment, onboarding and separation processes.
- Manage complex employee relations matters.
- Identify and develop training programs in areas where enhanced or new skill sets are needed for leaders, managers and staff.
- In collaboration with VP of HR, drive employee engagement efforts with formal plans and measurable results.
- Responsible for day-to-day labor relations activities including contract interpretation, administration, and management of grievances.
- Manage the HR Business Partner & Benefits Coordinator, inspire exceptional performance, coach and train, clarify expectations, support ongoing learning and development, and ensure training and resources are available so they can be successful in the role. Participate in goal setting, performance management and workflow management.
- Manage compensation program, including competitive salary administration (market pricing and internal equity reviews), analytics and compensation policies.
- Conduct and/or Hire external facilitators to provide Professional development opportunities or trainings for staff.
- Oversee the design, implementation and communication of employee benefit programs. Research and evaluate progressive benefits programs that will serve to attract and retain a talented workforce.
- Serve as a consultant to leaders on compensation & benefits matters such as salary management, job design and evaluation, and interpretation of compensation policies.
- Work in partnership with established wellness partners to develop a total wellbeing and health strategy.
- Partner with VP of HR and Chief Operating Officer to create and execute a comprehensive Employment Engagement initiative plan.
- Ensure Employee engagement surveys are administered on a regular cycle, review results, and create future plans based on data obtained.
- Ensure optimization of HRIS as it relates to efficient process and ensuring organizational and department needs are met. Evaluate alternative options, as needed.
- Monitor and ensure the organization's compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, regulations, funder requirements and best practices. Review and modify policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Review and update HR policies and guidelines to ensure alignment with TPT's values, equity across the organization and compliance with laws and regulations.
- Develop and report on HR KPI's
- Participate as an active member of the HR Team. Contribute to shared goals and collaborate with colleagues on achievement of priorities.
- Complete other tasks as assigned.
- 7 years of experience in human resources, including significant experience in compensation, benefits, compliance, policy development, employee relations and organizational development.
- 2 years of management experience
- 3 years of experience working with HRIS systems
- Proven experience developing partnerships with leaders, particularly in helping them manage significant organizational change
- Bachelor degree in human resources
- PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification
- 10+ years of experience leading compensation, benefits, compliance, policy development, employee relations and organizational development.
- Executive compensation experience
- Experience working in a union environment
- Experience with UKG
- Proven experience setting and leading complex organizational effectiveness initiatives as well as multi-year talent strategies
- Thorough experience ensuring regulatory compliance and in-depth knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
- Extensive knowledge of compensation, benefits, employment laws and regulations
- Highly collaborative work style and exceptional ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds at all levels within the organization

As Manager of People Operations, this position provides strategic leadership and direction in the areas of compensation, talent acquisition, benefits, HR technology and other HR initiatives. The Manager of People Operations is responsible for collaborating with the Vice President of HR and leaders to promote organizational effectiveness and engagement strategies with an emphasis on providing support to leaders to build, lead and develop a diverse, high performing team.
Hiring Salary: $90,000 - $97,000 annually (depending on qualifications)
Hybrid Work Environment: Candidates must live in or be willing to relocate to the Twin Cities Metro area.
