    Major responsibilities:

    • Traffic signal design as well as pavement markings, signage and illumination design.
    • Responsible for project planning, managing a team and delegating tasks to individuals.
    • Able to manage budgeting responsibilities and coordinate schedules.
    • Work alongside other disciplines to coordinate projects.
    • Planning and development of projects and ensuring adherence to project requirements.
    • Oversees and provides technical guidance to team members on complex scopes of work.
    • Coordinates between direct reports and the client.
    • Lead delivery on large, multidisciplinary projects.
    • Assist with marketing responsibilities and project proposals.
    • Responsible for hiring and developing staff members including planning for staff reporting, performance reviews and scheduling.

    Must haves:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering.
    • Professional Engineering License (P.E.)
    • 8-10 years of experience as a traffic engineer.
    • Traffic signal design experience.
    • MicroStation or relevant CAD experience.

    Plusses:

    • Master's Degree
    • Previous management experience within traffic engineering.
    • Experience working with TxDOT.
