Membership Development


We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team in a pivotal role focused on fostering community growth and engagement.

The Membership Development Director will be instrumental in expanding our network, ensuring member satisfaction, and enhancing our organizational impact.


Position status and working hours:
Part-time, non-exempt, 5 days per week.


Compensation:
USD per hour.


Responsibilities:


Membership Growth and Engagement:


  • Identify and cultivate relationships with businesses, companies, and industry sectors, advocating the benefits of our organization to facilitate membership conversions.
  • Maintain an uptodate database of prospective members within our network, extending invitations to relevant business activities.
  • Provide regular updates to the Executive Team on membership outreach and progress towards targets.

Retention Initiatives:


  • Implement and oversee a robust member retention program, leveraging Volunteer support to enhance member engagement and satisfaction.
  • Facilitate a seamless onboarding process for new members, highlighting business benefits and fostering connections within our community.
  • Present tailored advertising, committee, and sponsorship opportunities to meet the needs of current members.

Member Services:


  • Collaborate with the Executive Team to evaluate potential member benefit programs and partnerships.
  • Utilize the current membership database to meticulously record member interactions and maintain accurate member account information.
  • Serve as a liaison to our Volunteer team, coordinating outreach efforts and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

Administrative Support:


  • Prepare comprehensive reports for monthly Board meetings, providing insights into membership trends and statistics.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of membership marketing materials, including newsletters, welcome packets, and membership directories.
  • Undertake additional tasks as directed by the Executive Team to support organizational objectives.

Required Skills and Qualifications:


  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Great presentation skills.
  • Strong commitment to delivering relationshipfocused customer service.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (especially, Word, PowerPoint, and Excell), database management software, and analytics tools, WordPress would be an advantage.
  • Demonstrated problemsolving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
  • Selfmotivated with a professional demeanor and reliable transportation.

Desired Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.
  • Fluency in multiple languages is advantageous but not a must.
  • A valid CA driver's license
