    Description


    Job DescriptionResponsible for managing and directing the work of fleet staff and assisting Fleet Manager with overall vehicle fleet operations.

    This includes, but is not limited to, corporate and light duty capital budget, vehicle specifications, working with manufacturers on annual allocation and fleet incentives, upfitting services, lead for fleet leasing, asset retirements and auction services, fuel card management, data entry and data management.

    Continuous improvement of field support including safety meeting attendance, ensuring timely and appropriate responses regarding light duty repairs/maintenance. Building strong business relationships both internally and externally with vendors to improve overall efficiency of the fleet.


    Location:
    Can be based out of our Headquarters-Westminster, CO or Northern Colorado Maintenance Center-Frederick, CO.

    Vehicle Fleet Supervisor Hiring Salary Range:
    $100,000-$135,000Actual compensation offer to candidate may vary outside of the posted hiring salary range based upon work experience, education, and/or skill level.
    Responsibilities Manage, support, and direct the work of fleet personnel. Establish expectations and performance goals that support our mission through continuous improvement.

    Prepare vehicle fleet specifications to include light duty vehicles, utility bodies, ATV/UTV's, and trailers as outlined in the annual vehicle fleet budget rotation program or as directed by the Fleet Manager.

    Manage light duty vehicle procurement, upfitting, leasing, transport, delivery, disposal, and all other aspects of the vehicle lifecycle. Input and maintain fleet data in electronic fleet management system. Assist and support fleet licensing, permitting, annual state parks permitting, special mobile machinery/equipment SMM/SME, and Ute Crossing permits. Oversee vehicle maintenance and repairs for all corporate and light duty fleet vehicles. Make regular visits to all field locations within Tri-State's service territory.

    Work with field crew personnel on troubleshooting vehicle fleet problems and/or concerns pertaining to maintenance, repairs, and general vehicle fleet operations.

    Participate in safety committee meetings for all areas of Tri-State's service territory; coordinate and participate in annual transmission safety meetings as required in all areas and coordinate the vehicle fleet participation with the Safety and Training functional areas.

    Assist Fleet Manager with preparation of the annual capital replacement budget program for the light duty, executive, and pool units including utility bodies and inserts.

    Assist in the preparation of the annual O&M and G&A budget numbers for the vehicle fleet functional area. Work with Corporate Finance on leasing options for all applicable fleet vehicles, trailers, and other utility equipment as needed. Assist Fleet Manager with reporting and maintenance of the GPS solution (equipment installations, removals, general maintenance, and reporting).

    Track vehicle costs using cost control system reporting methods, as well as monitor vendor charges and services by vehicle class, and by Tri-State business unit.

    Monitor vehicle fleet key performance indicators (KPI's) to include vehicle down time and out-of-service percentages and other established performance indicators.

    Initiate new blanket order requests, and oversee usage and expenses associated with blanket orders including proper authorizations, invoice approvals, and other related procedures and processes.

    Prepare reports and special projects as required. Monitor and comply with appropriate state and federal government regulations.

    Adhere to company policies, programs and procedures as well as Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP), Western Electricity Coordinating Council (WECC), Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC), and Midwest Reliability Organization (MRO) standards and Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) laws and regulations.


    Safety:
    Maintain safety awareness and comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures to assure a safe working environment. Properly wear and care for applicable safety gear and equipment.

    Identify and communicate unsafe conditions to supervisor, coworkers, and the Safety functional area and correct or assist in resolving safety concerns and issues.

    Must understand and comply with the Clearance Procedure as applicable.

    QualificationsEducation and Training:
    High School diploma or equivalent


    Knowledge, Skills, and Ability:
    Effectively managing and directing work of others. Performance management, goal setting and accountability skills.

    Extensive knowledge in light duty vehicle fleet operations including maintenance and repair programs, upfitting services, vehicle licensing (International Registration Plan/International Fuel Tax Agreement - IRP/IFTA), county licensing, permitting, inspections, and all Federal and State compliance programs.

    Working knowledge of vehicle leasing programs and procedures is desired. Must possess a valid driver's license and have a safe driving record. MVR monitoring will be required for this position. Working knowledge of computer systems and Microsoft Office programs including Excel Spreadsheets. Ability to drive automobiles and light-duty trucks. Ability to communicate with a wide variety of people and establish and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

    Ability and willingness to work irregular hours; must carry a cell phone and be "on-call" for designated area(s) as assigned by the Fleet Manager.

    Ability to be a team player and work well with people both internally and externally.

    Experience Four (4) years of progressive experience in supervision, vehicle fleet operations, maintenance and repairs, including two (2) years of progressive experience in preparing detailed technical specifications for the purchase or replacement of utility vehicles, light duty trucks including upfitting services, trailers, and other utility fleet equipment.

    Electric utility experience desired.


    Other:
    Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time, including overnight stays. Must be able to demonstrate the ability to perform all essentials functions of the position.
