Description

Job Title: 2nd Level Engineer - System Integration Specialist

FPG is currently seeking a 2nd Level Engineer - System Integration Specialist on behalf of our client, a multinational telecommunications solutions company. This role requires fluency in German and experience with Unix environments, as well as installation, testing, and configuration of WIFI technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Install and configure software on routers used in public transportation systems for globally recognized travel companies.
  • Monitor fleet activities using designated monitoring applications.
  • Conduct software installation and configuration tests on routers and access points.
  • Oversee software configurations across train and bus fleets.
  • Troubleshoot issues, proactively manage problems, and report findings to the 3rd-line team after resolution.
  • Act as a liaison with internal technical experts in software, service delivery, project management, and the global engineering team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, technical training as an IT specialist/system integrator, or equivalent.
  • Previous professional experience in a similar role is required.
  • Strong attention to detail in a highly technical environment.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team and willingness to learn and excel.
