PURPOSE AND DESCRIPTION OF JOB


The Maintenance Planner/Scheduler provides support to the Maintenance Team to complete maintenance work and maximize safety, efficiency, quality, and equipment productivity.

Ensures preventive maintenance (PM) is scheduled and performed and ensures parts availability.


RESPONSABILITIES

  • Schedules daily maintenance of production and support equipment.
  • Reviews stock status and usage reports to ensure stock levels are appropriate.
  • Updates PM work orders weekly to maximize utilization of equipment and maintenance time.
  • Works on special projects and maintenance related projects requiring vendor contact, and projects relating to Continuous Improvement efforts.
  • Prepares special work orders, parts lists for the work orders and inputs the information into the CMMS.
  • Audits time sheets to insure information is correct and complete; inputs information into PM database.
  • Maintains PM records; updates information as necessary to insure accuracy of records.
  • Calculates and inputs completed work order hours, parts used for repairs, and any followup work to be performed.
  • Maintains work order status report; equipment information records.
  • Insures that all PM parts are available based on usage, work in process, and purchasing and/or manufacturing lead time.
  • Works with maintenance personnel to maintain inventory levels, order spare parts, and cycle count stock items on a scheduled basis.
  • Prepares weekly and monthly maintenance activity report.
  • Maintains closed work order and inventory transaction files.
  • Maintains blue print files for production equipment.
  • Maintains catalog files and vendor information relating to maintenance supplies and repair parts.
  • Follows company and department specific safety procedures and policies including Lockout/Tag out; Righttoknow; Personal Protective Equipment and Fire and security procedures.
  • Must be able to receive all parts purchased with the CMMS system
  • Establish and manage a stock room bar code system.
  • Manage internal rebuilds with Mainsaver
  • Interacts with outside vendors for ordering/ questions of parts

Supervises work conducted by hourly maintenance team to maximize safety, efficiency, quality, and equipment productivity.


EDUCATION/ QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or GED preferred

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have a minimum of 6 months of experience in a Planner role(experience in manufacturing maintenance preferred)
  • Must be computer literate. Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Basic understanding of math concept to complete reporting requirements
  • Prior experience with a Maintenance CMMS is preferred

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Must be able to work overtime as required by maintenance demands.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 30 lbs to shoulder height.
  • Must be able to bend and stoop occasionally.
  • Must be able to stand and walk 30% of working time.
  • Computer or desk work, approximately 6 hours per day.
  • Working on the Computer 70%
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time

ENVIRONMENT
Will spend 80% in climate controlled office area where noise is limited.

20% of time on manufacturing floor with moderate noise levels which will require the use of personal protective equipment including (but not limited to) hearing protection, safety glasses and steel toe shoes.
