Job Summary
This is an administrative position performing assistance for assigned departments.
Daily administrative tasks will be included, but not limited to typing, filling, copying, processing documents, and providing general assistance to the members of the assigned departments.
Essential Functions- Observes all safety and company policies.
- Filing, answering phone calls and other miscellaneous office tasks
- Orders office supplies.
- Keeps the office kitchen and break area stocked with supplies (i.e., soda, cups, plates, etc.).
- Updates telephone directories as required.
- Coordinates department meetings, customer meetings, and vendor meetings in conference rooms.
- Provide support to Hammond Production and EHS Managers.
- Complete weekly Production Schedule.
- Monitor Master Schedule for accuracy.
- Review weekly call off log for accuracy.
- Coordinate completion of corrective actions with production supervisors.
- Coordinate completion of training forms with production supervisors and HR.
- Track completion of monthly training by employees.
- Assist with updating plant safety communication screens.
- Assist with environmental reporting.
- Responsible for the plant postage and distribution of the production schedule. Maintains open communication with all employees through postings on employee information board. Along with HR ensure that plant and office bulletin boards remain in an uptodate and legal compliance manner.
- Assists HR with employee events and other various HR projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Required_
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate with customers in a professional and confidential manner.
- Excellent data entry skills with a high level of accuracy
- Accountable for maintaining a high level of organization, with a strong attention to detail.
- Preferred_
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience preferred.
- 5 years of general administrative support experience preferred.
Will work mainly in an office environment with occasional need to enter and work within the manufacturing facility as required.
Will use the following equipment:
computer, printer, copier, fax, and telephone. Requires walking (20%), standing (20%) and sitting (60%).
