- Develop and implement effective procurement strategies to meet the company's needs
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, price, delivery, and reliability
- Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to ensure favorable pricing and terms
- Monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with contractual agreements
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to determine purchasing requirements
- Manage inventory levels to optimize cost efficiency while ensuring adequate supply
- Utilize MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems to track inventory and forecast demand
- Stay uptodate with market trends, new products, and industry developments
- Resolve any issues or disputes with suppliers in a timely manner
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and ethical standards in procurement practices
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Proven experience as a Purchasing Manager or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices
- Proficient in using MRP systems and other procurement software tools
- Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of successful contract negotiations
- Ability to effectively manage supplier relationships and resolve conflicts
- Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities
- Detailoriented with excellent organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
