Full job description
The Fulfillment Manager oversees the entire order processing and delivery process within the organization. The Fulfillment Manager is responsible for leading a team that includes several staff members. This management role ensures that orders are fulfilled accurately, efficiently, cost-effectively and delivered based on customer agreements.
Additional responsibility for the Fulfillment manager will ensure that the order fulfillment process is carried out smoothly and effectively by performing various related tasks such as overseeing order functionality, supervising logistics, maintaining positive rapport with courier services, monitoring stocks and by leading the team in executing and completing orders.
The Fulfillment manager is involved in a number of daily tasks, including checking warehouse stock and paper availabilities, organizing staffing, and collaborating with the customer service representatives to update customers about the order status.
The Fulfillment Manager should have strong verbal and written communication skills and be comfortable with providing executive level reporting.Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:
- Monitor and ensures that optimal inventory levels meet customer demand while minimizing excess stock.
- Manages inventory control measures to track stock levels accurately, prevent stockouts, and reduce shrinkage.
- Reports stock shortages to senior management for inventory reorders.

Order Processing:
- Manage and coordinate order processing workflows to meet order deadlines and customer expectations.
- Ensure daily communication with other departments to prioritize orders and resolve issues promptly.
- Manage order processing, including picking and packing.
- Oversee warehouse operations to ensure smooth fulfillment.
- Track inventory and orders from receipt to delivery.
Warehouse Operations:
- Supervise warehouse staff and activities to ensure safety, efficiency, and productivity.
- Develop and enforce warehouse policies and procedures to streamline operations and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Quality Control:
- Implement quality control measures to maintain accuracy and completeness of orders.
- Ensure packages are correctly labeled with shipping addresses.
Shipping and Logistics:
- Manage shipping carriers, freight forwarders, and logistics partners to ensure timely and costeffective delivery of goods.
Communication & Collaboration:
Strong communication skills is a must.
As the Fulfillment Manager, you will collaborate daily with other internal departments such as customer service, prepress, production staff and the shipping team to resolve issues, provide updates on order status, and coordinate special requests.
Confidence in verbal and written communication is necessary as there may be situations where assistance is needed directly with customers on orders, service and support.
- Work closely with departmental senior managers, internal customer service representatives, prepress team, press operations, bindery department, warehouse staff, carriers, and suppliers.
- Collaborate with logistics partners and external vendors.
Technology Proficiency:
- Be wellversed in ecommerce systems and inventory management systems. (Experience in Pressero and Midnight software's is a plus)
- Computer knowledge required
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, working with PDFs
- Utilize other warehousing automations to enhance supply chain efficiency.
Physical Demands:
- Understand that the role may involve physical tasks related to warehouse operations.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as order accuracy, ontime delivery, and inventory turnover.
- Generate reports and analyze data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify process bottlenecks and inefficiencies and implement solutions to improve operational efficiency.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, technology advancements, and regulatory requirements related to fulfillment operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
- 3+ years proven experience in fulfillment, warehouse management, or logistics, with demonstrated leadership abilities.
