The Procurement analyst maintains the procurement function in line with the company's specified targets.
The role manages inventories of specified products based on forecast, sales and existing inventory across the pipeline, and coordinates with internal manufacturing and external suppliers to ensure on time, in full deliveries for the US affiliate.
Will be required to Manage 7-10 Direct suppliers independently across all areas of functionality.Essential Functions
Relationship Management & Service
Assists in the procurement function to optimize the inventory and customer service level through appropriate procurement forecasting
Monitors the DRP & evaluates SKUs/Items codes to maintain proper inventory levels.
Issues and adjusts purchase orders accordingly in ERP system.
Manages purchase orders to specified suppliers from submission to reception.
Identifies and recommends opportunities to improve stock level and reduce write off.
Must have clear understanding of Supply Vs Stock Vs Sales relationships and strive to maintain Departmental KPIs.
Supplier & Manufacturing Support
Monitors supplier's performance in order to meet the requests of the company (quality, costs, on-time/in-full delivery).
Contacts suppliers on delivery schedules
Devoleps positive relationships through tactful supplier management.
Reports & Communication
Maintains cross-functional communication with Marketing, Warehouse, Quality, Finance regarding product availability and deliveries.
Prepares and submits weekly and monthly reports.
Maintains records of pricing updates and procurement plans.
Assists in Continuous Improvement processes as determined & implemented by the Manager.
General/Administrative
Supports the company vision and mission, and demonstrates the corporate core values in all professional activities.
Complies with all OSHA safety requirements, work rules and regulations.
Complies and maintains all required paperwork, records, documents, etc.
Follows systems and procedures outlined in company manuals.
Maintains departmental housekeeping standards.
All other duties as requested by management.
Qualifications
Formal Education and Certification
Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or equivalent
5-10 years' experience as a Procurement analyst may be substituted for the educational requirement.
Special certifications in procurement ,supply chain or related skills a plus.
Knowledge and Experience
Minimum of 5 years' experience in supply chain analytics
Strong knowledge and understanding of the procurement process.
Knowledge of food industry or pharmaceutical supply chain is a plus.
Advanced proficiency in MS office.
Experience with JD Edwards is preferred, but not required

This position is located in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroflex. Candidates must be able to be on-site 2-3 times per month, subject to change dependent on business need.
