    Health and Safety Training Specialist

    CMI is expanding, and we're looking for a Health and Safety Specialist to join our dynamic team.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide expert health and safety training services to client base throughout the region
    • Develop safety training presentations and materials specific to our client(s) needs
    • Stay abreast of industry knowledge, and training techniques
    • Foster a positive safety culture within the team
    • Other training and consulting tasks as needed

    Requirements and Experience:

    • 1-5 years related experience and/or safety training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Experience training a wide variety of safety courses
    • Ability to create safety presentations with PowerPoint and other mediums
    • Engaging and personable presenter
    • Strong customer service skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to manage time and projects effectively and efficiently
    • Must be able to put in the "windshield time" necessary to assigned trainings
    • Overnight travel maybe required from time to time.

    Education and Credentials

    • Bachelors degree in a Health and Safety discipline helpful
    • Professional credentials such as ASP, SMS, OHST or CHST
    • OSHA 501 | OSHA 500 preferred
    • First Aid CPR Instructor preferred

    Physical Requirements:

    • Prolonged periods of standing and walking
    • Prolonged periods of driving in a car
    • Ability to stoop, crawl and bend

    Other Requirements:

    • Background check and potential drug screening required for the position
    • Overtime and flexible working hours may be necessary based on project demands
    • Residence within a reasonable commuting distance
